We’re a small studio, but we pack a big punch — big enough to take on serious projects, small enough to still care deeply about the people we work with. Black Cat Creative Co. was founded by Keagan Henman, a designer, filmmaker, and problem-solver who cares deeply about craftsmanship, clarity, and creating with purpose.

Black Cat Creative Co. launched in name in September of 2024, but we’ve been at this since 2015 — first as Avoix Drone Tech, then as Keag. After nearly a decade of doing good work under different names, it was time to bring it all under one roof with a brand that felt true to who we are.

The name? It started as a joke — a black kitten my wife and I adopted that I didn’t expect to get attached to… until I did. “Black Cat” became a nickname around the house, and even made its way onto a short-lived woodworking brand. But the name stuck. It fits — a little quiet, a little unexpected, and full of grit.

We want to be known for excellence — not perfection, but real, honest excellence in everything we do. Ultimately, our work is a way to honor our Creator. We create because we’ve been given creative gifts, and we use them with purpose — to serve, to build, and to glorify God through what we make.

We’re not chasing fast growth or recognition. We’re chasing better — growing as creatives, business owners, and people. We want to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep seeing the fruit of that commitment.
